Misnotkun á fræðslusjóði og viðurlög

Að gefnu tilefni hafa stjórnir fræðslusjóðanna Landsmenntar, Sveitamenntar, Ríkismenntar og Sjómenntar samþykkt nýja reglu til að bregðast við misnotkun á fræðslusjóðunum.

Reglan tekur til misnotkunar á sjóðunum og viðurlög við slíkri misnotkun, samanber eftirfarandi:

Misnotkun á fræðslusjóði og viðurlög
Umsækjandi sem reynist hafa gefið rangar eða villandi upplýsingar og eða notar fölsuð gögn við styrkumsókn, missir rétt sinn til styrks í 36 mánuði. Hafi umsækjandi fengið greidda styrkupphæð á grundvelli falsaðra og eða rangra gagna, er heimilt að krefja viðkomandi um endurgreiðslu á heildarupphæð styrks auk dráttarvaxta.

Stjórn sjóðsins áskilur sér rétt til að kæra til lögreglu brot af þessu tagi.

The boards of the educational funds Landsmennt, Ríkismennt and Sveitamennt have approved a new rule to respond to misuse of the education funds.

An applicant who is found to have given false or misleading information and or uses fake data when applying for a grant, loses his right to a grant for 36 months. If the applicant has been paid a grant amount on the basis of fake and/or incorrect information, the person may demand a refund of the total amount of the grant plus late interest.

The board of the fund reserves the right to report this type of offense to the police.
